Catalyst Consultants
James E. Hoffman, Jr. is the owner of Catalyst Consultants, LLC. Jim works with organizations and leaders who know that they and their companies can accomplish more, through planning, executive coaching, team building and issue resolution – all designed to enable clients to achieve higher performance and optimum results. Jim helps clients get clarity on the real obstacles that hold them back, the issues that need to be resolved, and the opportunities leading to advantage, and helps them build confidence to make better decisions. As Catalyst’s name suggests, we enable leaders and organizations to make the better decisions on the right issues, to achieve greater results with the least amount of resources, and to anticipate and adjust more effectively moving forward.
As President of Catalyst Consultants, LLC, Jim draws on more than 25 years of success as an entrepreneur, strategist, scientist and award-winning team builder. He brings a unique and powerful blending of clarity, insight and inspiration to privately held companies and their leaders. He has helped organizations develop winning strategic business plans and implement results-driven tactics, led senior corporate executives through coaching and facilitation exercises during times of organizational change, written several articles on effective strategic planning, and has been recognized by clients and peers for his work.
In addition to being the President of Catalyst, in 2003, Jim also accepted leadership of the CEO Forum of Pittsburgh, a non-profit organization dedicated to building connections among business leaders as a vehicle to help revitalize and strengthen the business community in the Pittsburgh region. Prior to that, Jim served as Executive Director of the CEO Club of Pittsburgh from 1999 to 2001, when he was named President of the Pittsburgh Chapter. He increased membership from four to over 100, developed strategic partnerships and created new programming formats and relationships.
Jim is the coaching partner of Gazelles International for the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area. He has been a guest on KQV’s "Lead the Way" Leadership Show, and has been a guest speaker at Robert Morris University, for several business organizations, Chambers of Commerce and rotary clubs.
