The company was founded in 2002 by Toby MacKelden. Toby brings to Lumina Consulting more than fifteen years of international communications, consulting and business development expertise. He has also held senior sales and management positions with Fortune 100 companies as well as hyper-growth technology firms in New York and London.
Prior to founding Lumina Consulting he established the Melbourne operations for one of the "Forbes Dynamic 100" software companies before moving on to become the organisation's Strategic Alliance Manager for Asia Pacific.
Toby is also the co-founder of Indigo Media Group (IMG) Pty Ltd, a successful publishing company that was recognized by BRW Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in Australia in its 2006 'Upstarts' awards – so he has intimate first hand knowledge of the excitement and challenge of running a fast growth business.
He is widely renowned as one of Australia’s most dynamic business communicators and coaches and in this capacity has helped numerous executives at emerging companies increase profits and stakeholder value. He has also delivered performance improvement programs to some of the world’s leading corporations, including Oracle, Sun Microsystems, ANZ and PWC.
He has been featured in numerous publications including BRW, The Australian newspaper and is a member of the world-wide 'Entrepreneurs’ Organization' (formerly EO).
