For: The Gazelles International Coaching Partners Program

Question 1: What is Gazelles International and what are Gazelles International Coaching Partners?

Gazelles International is the Coaching Partner Consortium for Gazelles, Incorporated, which is based in Ashburn, Virginia. Gazelles Coaching Partners are Gazelles International-certified, independent Regional Management Consulting Firms who provide Gazelles' customers with practical, follow-up implementation of the best practices taught in our Gazelles Executive Programs, which offer powerful professional education and development. Coaching Partners are selected for their experience, professionalism, and their abilities to effectively coach their Clients on implementing the Gazelles programs, processes and curriculum, as detailed in Verne Harnish’s book “Mastering the Rockefeller Habits.”


Question 2: What are the benefits for Coaching Partners?

• You receive exposure to the best Professional Development and Executive Education available today. Your Gazelles International dues pay for two or more individual MBD Session registration fees at Gazelles Executive Programs annually. It keeps you and other members of your firm on the cutting edge of practical, effective processes you can profitably share with your own Clients.

• Gazelles drives profitable new business to each Coaching Partner through our global Gazelles and Gazelles International branding, marketing and relationships. Our primary Goal is to introduce and deliver new Clients to you and your firm as a Gazelles Coaching Partner within your region.

• You earn Commissions by directing Participation of your Clients to Gazelles-sponsored Executive Education Events. Our Reciprocal Commission Program helps you earn significant income from the delivery of turn-key Private Gazelles Executive Programs, while compensating Gazelles, in turn, with a modest Intellectual Property Fee.

• You gain leverage from Verne’s relationships with Fortune Magazine, his nationwide network of EO and business contacts, and his reputation as the "Growth Guy" syndicated columnist and Contributing Editor for Fortune Small Business magazine.

• You get access to exceptional networking and professional education opportunities, with other successful Consulting and Coaching practitioners, through peer exchange among consultants, and periodic exposure to other top business thinkers and successful entrepreneurs in the world.

• You have shared branding with the various content partners of Gazelles International – Tom Peters, Gary Hamel, Jack Stack, Geoff Smart, Pat Lencioni, Neil Rackham, Verne Harnish and others.

• You are granted private-label use and distribution of Gazelles’ weekly e-newsletter, authored by Verne Harnish, under your organization’s brand.

• Access and redistribution rights of Corpedia content, with exclusive online content from Peter Drucker, W. Edwards Deming, Tom Peters, PMI, and other notable and quotable sources.

• Each Gazelles Coaching Partners receive a free Gazelles website listing, on our Coaching Partners page, plus access and exposure to the value of technologies shared among Gazelles International affiliates.


Question 3: How do I qualify as a Coaching Partner?

We look for several important criteria in qualifying Coaching Partners for Gazelles International:

• Individuals and firms making application should be substantially engaged in providing Business Management Consulting Services to mid-market firms; that is, with Clients having between 15 and 250 employees, or greater.

• At least 50% of the individuals in the firm, or the Principal Gazelles Coaching Partner in the firm, needs to have at least three years or more of proven, successful experience consulting with mid-market-sized organizations, or greater.

• The Principal Gazelles Coaching Partner in the firm should possess a successful track record in Executive-level Management and Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and in growing their own Consulting Services business.

• Coaching Partner Applicants should have a commitment to Personal and Professional Development on an ongoing basis, for both themselves and for the people in their firm.

• Coaching Partner Applicants should be willing and able to attend their initial Certification Training within 60 Days of Acceptance into the Coaching Partners Program, and before they represent and present the Gazelles Executive Education curriculum to Clients as affiliated Coaching Partners.

Question 4: How do I apply as a Coaching Partner?

Every Prospective Coaching Partner needs to fill out our simple, online 1-Page Coaching Partner Application and submit it to the Executive Director of Gazelles for review and consideration.

For a Coaching Partner Application, please access the link on the Gazelles website or contact Ron Huntington, Executive Director of Gazelles International, at (206) 860-1554, or via e-mail at tgronaldi@emtconsulting.com. Follow the instructions on the application. After we’ve received it, we will contact you promptly to discuss your application and your interest in joining us as a Coaching Partner. Once we have the information, we act quickly to render a decision on your candidacy.


Question 5: How does selection and notification of Coaching Partners work?

After the Executive Director receives your Coaching Partner Application, your Application will be reviewed in detail, and you will receive a call from the Executive Director within 2-5 Business Days. That will allow us a conversation to get better acquainted with your interest in becoming a Gazelles International Coaching Partner.

As Gazelles uses the TopGrading Processes, as taught by our Content Provider Geoff Smart, of Smart & Associates, you will be asked to provide a list of 6-10 References that will attest to your experience, qualifications, and your ability to deliver superior performance and service to your Clients.

And you’ll experience a Topgrading Interview from the Executive Director. Clear the TopGrading Reference Check and the Interview with flying colors and you will be offered an opportunity to join us as a Coaching Partner.

Question 6: What does it cost to be a Coaching Partner?

Each selected Coaching Partner firm pays a one-time Initiation Fee of $2,500.00. Depending on the size of your firm, Coaching Partners pay a monthly Participation Fee of $250 per month (Dues, paid Quarterly and in advance) for the first Coaching Partner consultant, plus $50 per month for each additional Coaching Partner Consultant on staff, up to a $500 per month maximum. Depending on the size of a participating firm, annual costs then range from $3000 - $6000 per year.

• Single member firms, at a fee of $3000 per year/$250 per month, are awarded two seats annually to any Executive Program or Coaching Partner event per year.

• Firms with two Coaching Partners have a fee of $3,600 per year/$300 per month, and are awarded two seats annually to any Executive Program or Coaching Partner event per year.

• Firms with three Coaching Partners have a fee of $4,200 per year/$350 per month and are awarded three seats annually to any Executive Program or Coaching Partner event per year.

• Firms with four Coaching Partners have a fee of $4,800 per year/$400 per month, and are awarded four seats annually to any Executive Program or Coaching Partner event per year.

• Firms with five Coaching Partners have a fee of $5,400 per year/$450 per month and are awarded five seats annually to any Executive Program or Coaching Partner event per year.

• Firms with six or more Coaching Partners have a maximum fee of $6,000 per year/$500 per month and are awarded five seats annually to any Executive Program or Coaching Partner event per year.

• All Travel and Lodging Costs (to, during and from each Executive Program or Coaching Partner Event) are the responsibility of each Coaching Partner, and are not included in the Participation Fee.

Your Coaching Partner Participant Fees entitle you or your firm’s coaches to attend a minimum of two (and up to five) Executive Programs per year, depending on your Fee Level, at no charge for Participant Costs.


Question 7: What are my commitments as a Coaching Partner?

Your commitments are straightforward:

• Once you are approved as a Gazelles International Coaching Partner, sign and return the simple 3-page Strategic Affiliation Network Agreement, along with your check to cover the Initiation Fee and your first Quarter’s Participant Fee.

• Your Strategic Affiliation Network Agreement takes effect on the date of your signature (the Effective Date), entitling you to all the benefits of association with Gazelles International as a Coaching Partner. Per Article II of the Agreement, it shall be in effect for a term beginning on the Effective Date and ending on the first anniversary thereafter, and shall automatically renew for one-year terms in accordance with the agreement.

• So long as you pay your monthly Participation Fees, when billed on a Quarterly basis, your affiliation with Gazelles International remains in full force and effect; you continue to enjoy all the benefits of affiliation.

• You are expected to be a fully-participative Partner in all Gazelles International Coaching Partner activities, which will include: Initial and Advanced Certification Training with Gazelles; attending the twice-annually-held Coaching Partner Conferences at appealing venues around North America; and participating in the monthly Coaching Partner Conference Calls organized and orchestrated by the Executive Director of Gazelles International.

• You may terminate your Coaching Partner relationship with Gazelles International, with or without cause, at any time, upon giving 90 days’ prior written notice.

That’s it! Nothing more complicated than that.

Question 8: What can I expect from Gazelles and Gazelles International in terms of support and communication?

You can expect regular contact with and updates from the Executive Director: On Developments affecting you as a Coaching Partner; On progress, events and developments for Gazelles or Gazelles International; A monthly Coaching Partner Conference Call; Semi-Annual Coaching Partner Conferences, which serve as both Business Education & Development and Consultant Networking Events; A weekly dose of Verne’s Insights, from Verne Harnish, with timely observations on the world of business, best practices, consulting ideas, and ways to strengthen relationships with Clients; and periodic updates from Verne and the Executive Director on emerging opportunities and new initiatives that can add income and profitability to your Consulting Firm’s Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

You’ll also receive a prompt, attentive, courteous return of your calls to the Executive Director; rapid, complete resolution of your questions, no matter how small; and full, frank and honest 2-way communication at all times.
