Mastering the Rockefeller Habits: What You Must Do to Increase the Value of Your Growing Firm
There are four critical decisions for dominating your industry which revolve around Verne’s well-known one-page strategic planning document and three additional one-page tools. As the “Growth Guy” syndicated columnist, Verne provides practical and actionable tools growth companies can use in creating focus, alignment, better communication, and an industry dominating strategy. The objective is tripling profitability and/or increasing the cash flow of a business, while blocking out competition. Equally important is dramatically reducing the time it takes to manage the business so executives have more time for market-facing activities.
The fundamental ideas that produce real market value and owner wealth are based on the same “habits” John D. Rockefeller employed to master the oil industry (meeting rhythm, metrics, and priorities). During that era Rockefeller's disciplined approach to business replaced the helter-skelter methods of the original pioneering speculators. These important habits need to be embraced by all companies that want to execute on their strategy and prosper in the coming decades
